Halifax had come from behind to claim a point in their previous away league fixture at Dagenham, but The Shaymen came into the game as the second-lowest scorers on the road in the division, and needed to offer more of a threat than that solitary Southwell chance.

Coincidentally, just as I started researching USB-C hubs for the new iPad Pro last month, the folks at OWC were kind enough to send me a review unit of their USB-C Travel Dock, a small puck that, via a short USB-C cable, can be attached to a modern Mac or 2018 iPad Pro and extend its I/O capabilities.

To prevent the solder from bridging the connections, a protective coating must be applied. The pouring solder wets the exposed metallic areas of the board and creates a reliable connection between the mechanical and electric components. While this process is expedient and efficient in producing high-quality products, it sometimes experiences glitches that can be prevented or corrected. Our posting explores some of the main issues and how to remedy them.
All USB-C hubs are not equal. First up is that USB-C just refers to the shape of the connector. The other part of the equation is whether the hub uses USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 to talk to the connected iPad. USB 3.1 offers double the data-transfer speed of USB 3.0. At the moment, this is probably only of interest to photographers who move huge files, or a lot of files, from their camera to the iPad. If all you’re doing is hooking up music gear, or a keyboard, this doesn’t really matter. Even USB 2.0 is more than enough for that.
Jarrod Bowen’s corner from the right found its way through to Jordy de Wijs at the far post, the defender’s header well parried by Rudd at close quarters with Storey hooking the loose ball clear.
One way to achieve this is to use the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. Ignore the HDMI output, connect power to the passthrough USB-C port on the adapter and plug the accessory into the standard USB port. The accessory will then draw power through the USB-C charging.
The iPad does not have a headphone jack. You can use the $9 Apple USB-C to headphone jack adapter to plug into wired headphones or speakers. If you have USB-C headphones, they will plug in directly and just work.
I think the small 1.27mm pitch smd adapters with castellated holes for TSSOP I added to my protoboards are a better way to solve this: You can solder them on where you need them to keep traces short. They are only half the size of traditional 2.54mm adapters, so they don’t add much wasted space.
Of course, a plastic housing offers little such shielding. At best, even a metal-bodied camera would be subject to “radio interference.” It can be pretty squirrely stuff! Radio signals and light are both forms of electromagnetic radiation and the inverse square law works for both. The best cure, therefore, is increasing the distance between your camera and the transmitters. As a radio engineer, I’ve learned long ago that you just can’t do certain things close in. Hope this simple explanation helps.
“[We] had some core competencies to handle portions of this build, and sought out Fourstar for its core competencies and resources,” concludes Jim Coghlin, COO at Columbia Tech. “[This] helped complement their strengths, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. Together, [we] hit all deadlines and cost targets, and exceeded the customer’s expectations.”
